Shadow People - Menswear A/W 2012 - Fashion Film

Sorry I've been neglected my blog again... Naughty me! Although it seems i have came back to find a really nice surprise, I've been getting tones of views everyday since the last post, only a few views off my next milestone. So a big thank you out to all who are reading this.

Anyway getting back to business the fashion film has been finished for awhile now but I've been busy cracking on with getting the portfolios finished for the last hand in EVER and not bothered to put it on here yet! Well here is the film i hope you like it. I have to say a huge thank you to Laura Taylor for helping me do another photo shoot and film and to TheEmuTyrant on YouTube for allowing me to use his music for the film. So thank you both very much!

The story is the hunter becoming the hunted in case you don't get it (like my family... typical).

Shadow People Photo Shoot Magazine Spreads

Well after seeing my lecturer (for our last class ever!), she gave me her opinion on the current look of the magazine spread and the shots from the shoot. After taking on her advise and doing another shoot to give a better variety of poses and locations the spreads look so much better. There is now a mixture of the busy textured backgrounds accompanied with the clearer, open spaced backgrounds which makes the shoot/spreads flow better and look more professional.

The last post with the first attempt at the photo shoot spreads wasn't a complete waste of time though because that is now my look book and also counts towards my development of the magazine. So that turned out to be a double bonus! To which i have edited the title of the last post to demonstrate this.

Shadow People Men's Collection 2012 Look Book

So after some tweaking, changing some of the animal heads that weren't working and adding some shadow details to make the images look a bit more realistic they have now been cropped, trimmed and laid out on the magazine spreads.

Well it's after 12am and officially Thursday which means the walkthrough with the fashion panel for the 4th year graduate fashion show at the Dovecot in Edinburgh is today! One of our lectures had the great idea for all of us to put together a 2 page mini look book for our collection to give to the panel using our photos from our photo shoots. So without further ado here they are.

Shadow People Photo Shoot

Its been a week since the last post but it has been worth it! I am not going to bother posting the rest of the details, techniques and construction photographs and jump straight to the good stuff! The photo shoot of the collection is all wrapped up and finished. So without further ado here is the first public showcase of Shadow People!

The Hexagon Body Armour

The next garment in the line up is the hexagon body armour. These are photos i took during the construction of this garment. The trick is to map out the middle hexagons and use them as a guide mark for the others and the decorative stitching.

The Baggy Trousers

I have been busy over the past few days doing my fashion shoots, getting things organised for the fashion film and helping out Kerrie Alexander with her fashion film by being one of her models. After this post of the baggy trouser details i will be putting up behind the scene snap shots from her film.

The Capped Sleeve T-shirt

This simple capped sleeve t-shirt might not have allot going on with it design wise but look at this gorgeous, luxurious jersey made from silver acrylic yarns. Makes up for it me thinks!
